To speed up the adoption of new discoveries in healthcare, we need support to bring these innovations from the lab to patients in hospitals and clinics. The goal is to introduce treatments that are less invasive, less stressful, and more cost-effective. This means developing new tools and methods to detect diseases early and track progress, and training healthcare providers to use them safely.
The DCVA helps its partners to better plan and organize efforts, so that we can create faster pathways to implement these innovations. Collaboration and expertise are essential for developing and applying new ways to prevent and treat cardiovascular disease.
This working group comes together 4x per year to discuss ongoing issues and new collaborations. Partners represented in this working group are: Harteraad, Hartstichting, HartVaatHAG, NVIVG, NVvC, ZonMw.
Cardiologist Robert Tieleman is the Chair of Implementation at the DCVA. His aim is that new therapies and insights in the field of cardiovascular disease are translated into clinical practice more rapidly, so that patients can benefit sooner. `The translation from science to practice is often too slow. There is still much to be gained.’
