Maurits Sikking is a PhD candidate at the cardiovascular research institute Maastricht (CARIM) under the supervision of prof. dr. Stephane Heymans. His work will mainly focus on translating basic research into clinical practice.
Maurits Sikking received his bachelor degree in Medicine in 2015 and his master degree in Medicine in 2018 with distinction ‘cum laude’ from Leuven University. During his training he maintained several research activitities including a boardmembership at the Leuvense Vereniging voor StudentOnderzoekers (LVSO) and his master’s thesis in collaboration with Radboud UMC. After several internships he joined the research team of prof. Heymans where he will focus on clinical research.
