Since April 2021, preclinicaltrials.eu hired a new daily director: Julia Menon, a research rigor and transparency enthusiast. She leads the platform’s educational and promotional activities in cooperation with Annemarie Scholman-Végh.
Starting this summer, you may meet her online, as preclinicaltrials.eu will organise webinars for interested institutes on the importance of preregistration. The dissemination of preregistration principles and advertisements for their educational contents will be promoted on the new PCT LinkedIn and Twitter account.
Since its launch in 2018, the preregistration platform Preclinicaltrials.eu (PCT) has been expanding, with growing numbers of protocols and more stakeholders supporting our cause. Recently, the team received financial support from the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality (LNV) to set up a pilot for a period of three years. The grant covers Julia’s employment and the development of a strategy to propagate the mission of the platform in the Netherlands and internationally.
Additionally, the existing website (www.preclinicaltrials.eu) has been updated lately and will soon provide personal guidance via video call or e-mail to any researchers wanting help with preregistration. Lastly, the team will focus on expanding existing tools to reduce the time needed to preregister.
