Rianne Ellenbroek is Investment Manager at BioGeneration Ventures where she is responsible for investments of the FIRST Fund.
Prior to joining FIRST, she was an associate in the Healthcare investment team at INKEF Capital. Rianne is a medical biologist by training. She obtained her PhD at Leiden University while performing part of her activities at biotech company Galapagos. Winning a grant facilitated her to take a position as postdoctoral fellow at the Kovler Diabetes Center at the University of Chicago. Next to performing her research, she became a fellow at the university’s Tech Transfer Office which has sparked her interest in the early stages of life sciences ventures.
