The goal of the second National Heart Failure Week, taking place from 14th to 20th of April 2025, is to improve care for heart failure patients and raise awareness about this condition. This event is organized by the Deltaplan Heart Failure initiative, which aims to enhance heart failure care and increase awareness of the disease. Deltaplan Heart Failure is a collaborative effort of the Heart Foundation, the Netherlands Heart Institute, and the Dutch CardioVascular Alliance (DCVA).
Organize a Regional Event
We invite you to organize an activity during National Heart Failure Week! Examples include a public lecture, an informational booth, or training sessions for healthcare professionals. We are happy to offer support and suggestions to assist you.
Why Participate?
Heart failure is a significant societal issue. Only 1 in 5 Dutch citizens are familiar with heart failure, even though the number of patients is expected to rise considerably in the coming years. Additionally, organizing efficient care continues to present challenges. The Deltaplan Heart Failure initiative aims to address this, in collaboration with you, by raising awareness, promoting early detection, and improving heart failure care.
The Deltaplan Heart Failure Platform
A key component of this initiative is the Deltaplan Heart Failure platform, where ongoing scientific research, projects, and successful initiatives are shared. To better understand opportunities and challenges in heart failure care, we encourage heart failure specialists, healthcare professionals, and researchers to share their initiatives.
Submit Your Initiative!
Would you like to organize a regional event? Or do you have an initiative to share? Please send your response or any questions to deltaplanhartfalen@dcvalliance.nl. Together, let’s increase awareness of heart failure and enhance care.
