Second DCVA-call

Gender and Health

In February 2019, ZonMw and the Dutch Heart Foundation jointly launched Gender and Health – Implementation Round, the second DCVA-call. This call is organized around the differences between men and women on diagnoses, development and treatment of cardiovascular diseases. The goal of this call is to implement sex and gender sensitive knowledge into daily practice.

Various studies have already been conducted in recent years to identify sex and gender differences in cardiovascular disease. The Gender and Health Implementation Round focuses on translating new and existing knowledge into guidelines, education of healthcare professionals and healthcare practice.
