Accreditation points

We are happy to announce that the program of the 7th DCVA NLHI Translational Cardiovascular Research Meeting is acknowledged by the Netherlands Society Of Cardiology (NVVC).

Cardiologists will receive:

  • 4 accreditation points for joining the program on Thursday June 22
  • 7 accreditation points for joining theprogram on Friday June 23

Application for these accreditation points can be done during the registration process.

NLHI Fellowships 2023

Every year the Netherlands Heart Institute awards fellowships to young scientists, allowing them to work abroad for up to a year. The fellowship program is supported by the Foundation Friends of Cardiology (Vrienden van de Cardiologie)

During the 7th Translational Cardiovascular Research Meeting of the DCVA and the Netherlands Heart Institute, three applicants will be invited to present their proposal. The awarding session will be during the closing session on Friday the 23rd of June 2023.

We are thrilled to announce the candidates for the upcoming 2023 fellowship program 🎉

Meet our candidates and their research proposals:
👥 Karel Breeman (Amsterdam UMC) “Leadless pacemakers: long-term outcomes and novel applications in order to minimize the burden of pacemaker-related complications”

👥 Renee Maas (UMC Utrecht) “ASSAY; Automated Stratification Scoring Analysis in Patient-derived cardiomYocytes”

👥 Mitchel M. (Amsterdam UMC) “Artificial intelligence to support risk stratification and clinical decision making in patients with obstructive coronary artery disease”

All candidates will present their proposals during the 7th DCVA NLHI Translational Cardiovascular Research Meeting on Thursday 22nd June and the awarding session will take place on Friday 23rd June.

Einthoven Dissertation Prize

During the 7th Translational Cardiovascular Research Meeting (on Friday the 23rd of June), the NLHI NVVC Einthoven Dissertation prizes will be awarded. Anyone who got his/her doctoral degree in 2022 in the Netherlands on a cardiovascular topic could compete for this prize.

The jury has selected the following 3 candidates:

  • Aernoud Fiolet: ‘Colchicine in Coronary Disease. Using the available to enable the sustainable’
  • Michiel Henkens: ‘Improving diagnosis and risk stratification of cardiomyopathies across the ejection fraction spectrum – The past, present and future’
  • Jorit Lemkes: ‘Timing of coronary angiography in acute coronary syndromes – The TRANSIENT and COACT trial’

The candidates will present their thesis on Friday the 23rd of June during the morning session (8:45 - 9:25). The awarding session will be on the same day in the afternoon during the closing session (start at 16:15).
