Young@Heart spring event 2021: Communicating your science

23 April 2021

What do you tell your (non-specialist) friends when they ask about your work? Of course, you are the expert when it comes to your research but explaining what you do to a general audience is often tricky. We will help you with this during our next event on April 23, 2021! The central theme will be Communicating your science and we will focus on various aspects of how researchers can make their work more accessible to the general public. We will have exciting presentations from experts, including podcast presenter Lucas Brouwers (“onbehaarde apen”; NRC), and prof. Bas Haring (“people’s philosopher”; LUMC) as well as two (interactive) workshops focusing on storytelling by Godfried Hartkamp or pitching by Anne van Kessel. In addition, previous winners of the Crazy Idea Awards will present their results and we will highlight our collaborative efforts with the German Heart Foundation (DZHK).

Save the date: 23 April 2021. Everything will be in a digital format and registration is completely free!
