Niek Ratering Arntz works as an electronics developer at the department of Medical Technology and Clinical Physics at the UMC Utrecht, under the supervision of ir. Alejandra Zepeda.
In April 2021, Niek completed his bachelor’s study in electrical engineering after studying at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht. He concluded his study with a graduation project at the UMC Utrecht, where he redeveloped a dynamic clamp system that improved in speed, size, practicality and cost compared to the system that was used by researchers at the UMC.
In August 2021 Niek started working at the UMC Utrecht, where he is involved in the development of a handheld ECG recording device. In this project, he focuses on developing the hardware and software of the device.
