Do you have an innovative idea for cardiovascular research that could contribute to better patient care?
WCN, NLHI and DCVA invite researchers to submit a proposal for the WCN-NLHI-DCVA Pitch 2027, which will take place on 11 February 2027 at the Holland Heart House in Utrecht. During this evening, selected researchers will present their research idea to a panel of experts, funders and representatives from the cardiovascular field.
With this Pitch, WCN, NLHI and DCVA aim to support innovative and feasible research initiatives that can contribute to reducing the cardiovascular disease burden and accelerating the translation of research into clinical practice. There is a strong preference for cardiovascular clinical trial research. Implementation research that is directly aimed at improving patient care and application in clinical practice may also be eligible.
The Pitch offers researchers the opportunity to bring their idea to the attention of a broad network of experts, collaboration partners and potential funders. Participants will receive substantive feedback and have the opportunity to establish new collaborations and further develop their research proposal. The selected proposals will be assessed based on, among other things, impact, feasibility and collaboration within the cardiovascular field.
Researchers from academic centres, non-academic hospitals and other organisations active in the cardiovascular research field are invited to submit a proposal. Collaboration within the cardiovascular network is strongly encouraged.
Send an email to info@dcvalliance.nl. You will then receive the application instructions and the format for submitting your project proposal. Your complete proposal must be submitted by 13 December 2026 at the latest.
After the deadline, the submitted proposals will be assessed by the panel. Based on this assessment, approximately five candidates will be selected to present their proposal during the pitch evening. During the evening, the panel will select the winning project.
The winner will receive financial and substantive support for the further development and implementation of the research proposal. The available amount and the precise form of support are yet to be determined.
